This is by far the hardest day hike I have ever hiked, though very rewarding.
Would be wise to bring a friend with you.
Particularly someone with a similar sense of adventure as you do.
Because this hike is an intense workout.
As well as someone who as well has a head for heights!
For there are many!
Some that even intimidated me.
Though…
…it was worth it!

Side Notes:
- The entry fee is $20/person, not $20/car so I would not judge you if you stuck your friends in your trunk.
- Grand Father Mountain State Park however does not charge an entry fee so if you wanted you could hike to grandfather mountain area from a trailhead within the State Park to avoid fees all together.
