The Pinnacle
This was a trip Hope and I have done the end of the Summer back in 2018. Trip brings back of a lot of memories, mostly good! 🙂

Met South Bounder passing through. For those of you who don’t know, a south bounder (SOBO) is a person that is hiking the trail south usually from Katahdin, Maine to Springer Mountain, Georgia. I don’t remember his trailname, but I do remember him saying he had been taking off time from being a school teacher.

Funny thing about this trip is that this was one of the things I had missed on my thru-hike back in 2017 (NOBO). I saw the sign for the view and skipped it. I didn’t realize how awesome it was until hearing about it further up the trail. I wasn’t too interested at the time because I had this notion that the views in the central states were going to be all the same, not very interesting, also my mileage per day at the time had been small due to those rocky trails. Any who, I eventually made my way back and we certainly enjoyed ourselves. 🙂
