Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Three years ago, I started my thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail. The trail will always hold a special place in my heart. While reminiscing, I still get emotional, left in astonishment that actually did happen. It was the type of experience I don’t think I will ever be able to fully explain. My go-to for a while was that it has its ups and downs, figuratively and literally. I had some of my most strenuous and best days of my life on trail.

This said, I am so very thankful to the community, my family, and friends who supported me through this journey. ❤ I will never forget the generosity (The kind that really makes you reflect), refreshing (!!!), open-minded, supportive, charismatic, inspiring, insanely awesome people I’ve cross paths with. To all who I have met on and off trail, thank you for being. 🙂

While the majority of this post is recycled from my previous yearly posts, everything without doubt, still holds true. 😁

Edit (2026):
At some point during the trail, I stopped daily blogging. Looking back, I’m honestly surprised by how long I kept it up while balancing the physical and mental demands of thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail.

Toward the end of the journey, I found myself wanting a break from documenting everything so I could simply be present for the final stretch. While finishing the remaining blog entries still feels somewhat daunting, it’s also no longer a major priority in my life.

The Appalachian Trail was an incredibly important chapter for me and continues to support the person I’ve become, but I’ve also grown beyond that period of my life. Revisiting unfinished posts sometimes feels less like building something new and more like returning to help an older version of myself that no longer needs saving.
