This stop was more touristy than what I had been expecting from the photos attached to the Google Maps location of Glade Creek Grist Mill. Based on the photos, this mill looked to be in the middle of the woods, but in reality, there are paved roads, paved trails, and a gift shop. If you don’t mind the touristy vibe of the area, but enjoy bird watching, fishing, history, swimming, or a beautiful picture, this is the beautiful destination for you.

Remember that every destination is beautiful in it’s own unique way. Also, take the time to venture to some of the lesser known locations. You may find beauty where you wouldn’t have otherwise expected it. Also, ask the locals. Locals always know best. : )

- I can see this being a great place to visit in the Fall at peak foliage.
