This hike is part of a larger trip right around when flights were being avoided due to the still current Covid19 virus pandemic in mid-March. Like many other people, I canceled my flight. Instead of flying I decided to keep my plans for my trip, but instead drive. I figured if I filled up at gas stations further off the highway, I would be for the most part fine.
There is a misplaced marker on Google Maps for Crabtree Falls in North Carolina so we went to the wrong location. Fortunately, the wrong GPS marker is relatively close to the actual destination. As of now, if you were to search “crabtree falls nc” or even in Google Maps, you’d get the wrong location.
The hike was relatively easy. We didn’t realize there was a loop so we hiked out and back. The AllTrails link in the table is for the loop, though the mileage is for our the out & back hike.
